The Story
Hungry Lion is an action-packed puzzle game where players take on the role of magical unicorns with the mission to capture a ferocious, hungry lion before it strikes. The game features five diverse maps—Water of Life, Heat of Desert, Ruins of Temple, Gates of Castle, and Mystery of Caves—each containing six challenging levels. As players progress, they can unlock powerful, colorful unicorns that enhance gameplay. The balance of strategy, adventure, and unlocking magical upgrades keeps players engaged across increasingly difficult levels.
I contributed to the game's entire development cycle, from conceptualizing the gameplay and defining the graphic assets to designing the user interface and analyzing its usability. My role also extended to sound design, optimizing the game's performance in Adobe Flash/ActionScript, and managing its launch on the PlayStore. Through collaboration with a small team of developers and a freelance graphic design team, we brought *Hungry Lion* to life. The game received a positive reception, earning a 4.5-star rating on the PlayStore. This project taught me the intricacies of game development, especially working with heavy graphics on mobile devices while optimizing memory and CPU usage.
